Lance Parrish Autographed 1986 Fleer Star Stickers #85 Detroit Tigers Card

Add a colorful alternative issue from the final season of Lance Parrish's original Detroit Tigers tenure with this 1986 Fleer Star Stickers #85, personally autographed by the eight-time All-Star catcher and key member of Detroit's 1984 World Series championship team.

The 1986 Fleer Star Stickers set was a separate 132-card release distributed in wax packs. Despite the Sticker name, these were standard-size issues produced on card stock, with player photography surrounded by the set's distinctive yellow border and cranberry-colored frame. The backs feature year-by-year statistics and card numbering. Parrish is correctly cataloged as #85 in the set.

The checklist was arranged alphabetically and included an impressive cross-section of stars from the era. Parrish appears between Dave Parker #84 and Larry Parrish #86, with nearby cards including Dale Murphy, Eddie Murray, Phil Niekro, Kirby Puckett, Tim Raines and Cal Ripken Jr. The set also includes an early Jose Canseco issue.

He batted .257 with 22 home runs and 62 RBI, while posting a .483 slugging percentage, .824 OPS and 122 OPS+. His performance earned him another American League All-Star selection and Silver Slugger Award.

That All-Star appearance was Parrish's fifth consecutive selection beginning in 1982. His years in Detroit also included the unforgettable 1984 World Series championship, when he led the Tigers with 33 home runs and 98 RBI and homered off Goose Gossage in the championship-clinching Game 5 against San Diego.

The 1986 Fleer Star Stickers #85 is particularly appealing for a comprehensive Parrish autograph collection because it is a completely separate issue from his regular 1986 Fleer #234, Fleer Classic Miniatures #49 and Fleer League Leaders #31.
