The 1983 Donruss Action All-Stars set stands apart from the company's standard baseball release. The cards were produced in an unusual 3-by-5-inch oversized format, giving Donruss additional space for action-oriented photography and making the set immediately recognizable among early-1980s issues. The set contains just 60 cards, with Parrish correctly appearing as #50.

He followed with another outstanding season in 1983, batting .269 with 163 hits, a career-high 42 doubles, 27 home runs and a career-high 114 RBI in 155 games. Parrish earned All-Star, Gold Glove and Silver Slugger honors and finished ninth in American League MVP voting.

One year later, Parrish helped Detroit capture the 1984 World Series championship, cementing his place among the most important members of that great Tigers era. He ultimately finished his Major League career with 1,782 hits, 324 home runs and 1,070 RBI.
