Lance Parrish Autographed 1983 Donruss #407 Detroit Tigers Card

Add a terrific prime-era card of one of the premier power-hitting catchers of the 1980s with this 1983 Donruss #407 Lance Parrish card featuring him with the Detroit Tigers, personally autographed by the future World Series champion.

The 1983 Donruss #407 was issued following one of Parrish's finest seasons. In 1982, he batted .284 with 138 hits, 32 home runs and 87 RBI while posting a .529 slugging percentage. His 32 homers established a career high at the time and helped earn him his second American League All-Star selection and second Silver Slugger Award.

Parrish was even more productive during the 1983 season in which this card was issued. Playing 155 games, he collected 163 hits, a career-high 42 doubles, 27 home runs and a career-high 114 RBI while batting .269.

His performance earned him another American League All-Star selection and Silver Slugger Award, as well as the first Gold Glove Award of his career. Parrish finished an impressive ninth in American League MVP voting, establishing himself as an elite two-way catcher.

The timing also makes this an excellent championship-era Tigers collectible. Just one year later, Parrish helped lead Detroit to the 1984 World Series championship, hitting 33 home runs with 98 RBI while again earning All-Star, Gold Glove and Silver Slugger honors.

Parrish ultimately became an eight-time All-Star, three-time Gold Glove winner and six-time Silver Slugger winner. He finished his 19-year Major League career with 1,782 hits, 324 home runs and 1,070 RBI.
