This is a particularly appealing final-season issue in a comprehensive Lance Parrish autograph collection. The 1995 Stadium Club #604 features Parrish as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays, the final Major League team of his accomplished 19-year career. The card is confirmed as 1995 Stadium Club #604 Lance Parrish Toronto Blue Jays.

Unlike some of Parrish's other 1995 cards that still depict him with Pittsburgh, Stadium Club had caught up with his move to Toronto, making #604 a true card from his final playing season. Parrish joined the Blue Jays in 1995 at age 39 and appeared in 70 games, including significant time behind the plate.

Parrish collected 36 hits, nine doubles, four home runs and 22 RBI in 178 at-bats during his final season. One of his memorable moments came on May 29, when the former Tigers star hit two home runs against Detroit, the organization with which he had spent the first decade of his Major League career.

There is also a nice career-bookend aspect to the card. Parrish debuted with Detroit in 1977 and played his final Major League game with Toronto in September 1995 at age 39. He finished with 1,782 hits, 305 doubles, 324 home runs and 1,070 RBI over 1,988 games.

Stadium Club adds another collecting angle. The brand's emphasis on large, high-quality photography makes its cards especially attractive for autographs, and this #604 gives collectors a Stadium Club representation of Parrish with the last of the seven Major League organizations he represented.

For the Parrish run, I like this one more than the Pittsburgh cards immediately preceding it. The Toronto uniform is important because this isn't simply a 1995 release showing his previous clubit actually represents Parrish's final MLB team and final playing season. Combined with Stadium Club's photography, that gives the signed #604 a strong career-completion angle for collectors of Lance Parrish autographs, Toronto Blue Jays memorabilia, final-season cards, 1995 Stadium Club, or comprehensive signed player collections.
