Lance Parrish Autographed 1995 Donruss Top of the Order #NNO Toronto Blue Jays Card

This is a particularly interesting late-career oddball issue for a comprehensive Lance Parrish collection. The 1995 Donruss Top of the Order card features Parrish as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays, the final Major League team of his distinguished 19-year career.

Unlike traditional Donruss baseball cards, Top of the Order cards are unnumbered (NNO). The 1995 release contains a large 360-card checklist, with players identified by name rather than conventional card numbers. That unusual format makes the set a nice departure from Parrish's standard Donruss issues and gives the autographed card additional oddball appeal.

The Toronto connection is especially significant. After playing for Pittsburgh in 1994, Parrish entered 1995 at age 39 and ultimately joined the Blue Jays for what became his final Major League season. His accomplishments went well beyond the counting statistics. Parrish was an eight-time All-Star, three-time Gold Glove winner and six-time Silver Slugger winner, and he was the primary catcher for the dominant 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers.
