Lance Parrish Autographed 1991 Fleer #321 California Angels Card

Add a classic early-1990s Fleer issue to a comprehensive Lance Parrish autograph collection with this 1991 Fleer #321 California Angels card, personally autographed by one of the premier power-hitting catchers of his generation.

The card comes during Parrish's productive tenure with the California Angels, where he played from 1989 into the 1992 season. His California years included one of the most impressive late-career rebounds of his career, highlighted by an outstanding 1990 campaign in which he earned both American League All-Star and Silver Slugger honors.

Parrish remained California's primary catcher in 1991. At age 35, he appeared in 119 games, recording 87 hits and 12 doubles while hitting 19 home runs with 51 RBI. His 19 home runs ranked third on the Angels behind Dave Winfield's 28 and Wally Joyner's 21.

His continued power production was noteworthy for a veteran catcher. Parrish's 19 home runs were more than teammates Gary Gaetti, Dave Parker and Chili Davis produced for California that season, and he finished third on the club in both home runs and total bases.

Parrish also continued to carry a substantial defensive workload. He appeared in 111 games at catcher with 102 starts, logging more than 912 innings behind the plate. He committed only two errors in 717 chances, producing an excellent .997 fielding percentage.

The 1991 Fleer #321 represents the latter portion of Parrish's California tenure. He remained with the Angels into 1992 before moving to Seattle and later playing for Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Toronto.

Parrish eventually completed a 19-year Major League career with 324 home runs and 1,070 RBI. His rsum includes eight All-Star selections, three Gold Gloves and multiple Silver Slugger Awards, along with his role as the starting catcher for the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers.
