Add a particularly interesting oversized and later-series Topps issue to a Lance Parrish autograph collection with this 1990 Topps Big #323 California Angels card, personally autographed by the eight-time Major League All-Star and 1984 World Series champion.
The 1990 Topps Big set contains 330 oversized cards measuring approximately 2" x 3", noticeably larger than a standard baseball card. Topps divided the set into three 110-card series, with cards #221-330 comprising the third and final series.
That makes Parrish's #323 a third-series card, appearing very late in the overall checklist. In fact, Parrish is followed by Bruce Hurst #324, Kirk Gibson #326, Cal Ripken Jr. #327 and Jim Abbott #329 before the series-ending checklist. The third series also contains notable cards of Sammy Sosa #286, Rickey Henderson #292, Larry Walker #296, John Smoltz #306 and Cecil Fielder #313.
There is an additional wrinkle that makes this Parrish card worth noting for serious player collectors. Two copyright variations are cataloged for #323, identified by E and F** on the reverse. These are minor production variations, but they're exactly the type of distinction that can matter when assembling an exhaustive Parrish run.
The oversized Topps Big format is also particularly attractive for an autographed card. The larger surface gives Parrish's signature more room than a standard-size issue, while the product provides a noticeably different presentation from his regular 1990 Topps #575.
The card coincides with an excellent season for Parrish. In 1990, his second year with the California Angels, the veteran catcher hit .268 with 24 home runs and 70 RBI and earned both American League All-Star and Silver Slugger honors.
Parrish eventually completed a 19-year Major League career with 324 home runs and 1,070 RBI, earning eight All-Star selections, three Gold Gloves and six Silver Slugger Awards while serving as the starting catcher for the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers.

It's an excellent addition for collectors of Lance Parrish autographs, California Angels memorabilia, Topps Big cards, third-series issues, oversized baseball cards, or comprehensive signed player collections.
