Lance Parrish Autographed 1986 Topps Major League Leaders Minis #15 Detroit Tigers Card

Add a distinctive miniature Topps issue to a Lance Parrish collection with this 1986 Topps Major League Leaders Minis #15 featuring the star catcher with the Detroit Tigers, personally autographed by the eight-time All-Star and 1984 World Series champion.

The 1986 Topps Major League Leaders Minis were a separate 66-card set highlighting statistical leaders from the 1985 season. Parrish is correctly cataloged as #15, one of four Detroit Tigers in the set along with Darrell Evans #13, Jack Morris #14 and Walt Terrell #16.

One of the most noticeable features of this release is its unusual size. The cards measure approximately 2" x 3", making them smaller than standard baseball cards. Their design closely resembles the Team Leaders cards found in the regular 1986 Topps set, giving the Mini Leaders their own recognizable look.

The cards were not simply an insert in regular 1986 Topps packs. The Mini Leaders were issued as their own product, available in six-card packs as well as 500-card vending boxes. That separate distribution makes Parrish's #15 an interesting companion to his regular 1986 Topps #740, Tigers Leaders #36 and Glossy Send-Ins #8.

Parrish's inclusion among the Major League Leaders followed another excellent 1985 season. He batted .273 with 150 hits, 27 doubles, 28 home runs and 98 RBI, while earning his fourth consecutive All-Star selection and third consecutive Gold Glove Award.

He remained one of baseball's premier power-hitting catchers in 1986. Despite being limited to only 91 games, Parrish hit 22 home runs with 62 RBI and an .824 OPS, earning another American League All-Star selection and a Silver Slugger Award.

The 1986 season was also the final year of Parrish's original Detroit tenure. His Tigers career included the unforgettable 1984 World Series championship, and he ultimately finished his Major League career with 324 home runs and 1,070 RBI, along with eight All-Star selections, three Gold Gloves and six Silver Slugger Awards.
