Add a signed early-career card of future Silver Slugger catcher Michael Barrett with this 1999 Upper Deck Retro #51 Montreal Expos issue.

This card comes from the distinctive 1999 Upper Deck Retro set, one of Upper Deck's most creative releases of the late 1990s. Packaged in collectible tin lunchboxes, the 110-card set paid tribute to the nostalgic look and feel of classic baseball cards while combining modern photography with vintage-inspired design. The product has remained a favorite among collectors looking for something different from traditional flagship releases.

Selected by the Montreal Expos with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 1995 MLB Draft, Michael Barrett went on to enjoy an 11-year Major League career with the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays. Originally drafted as a shortstop, Barrett successfully transitioned to catcher and developed into one of the National League's premier offensive backstops. He finished his career with 98 home runs, 424 RBIs, a .263 batting average, and earned the 2005 National League Silver Slugger Award.

This card captures Barrett during the early stages of his Major League career with the Expos, when he was regarded as one of the organization's top young players. The unique retro styling and limited 110-card checklist make this one of his more distinctive Upper Deck issues from the late 1990s.
