Add a distinctive portrait-style issue from the final season of Lance Parrish's California Angels tenure with this 1992 Studio #149, personally autographed by the eight-time Major League All-Star, three-time Gold Glove winner, six-time Silver Slugger winner and starting catcher for the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers.

The 1992 Studio set continued the brand's distinctive approach to baseball cards, emphasizing polished player portraits and personality-driven presentation rather than the traditional action photography found in many contemporary releases. For autographed-card collectors, the Studio design provides an especially attractive showcase for a player's signature.

This was only the second year of Studio baseball, following the brand's 1991 debut. Parrish's #149 therefore pairs nicely with his 1991 Studio #29, providing signed examples from each of the first two years of the product.

The card also captures an important transition point in Parrish's career. He had joined the California Angels in 1989 following two seasons with Philadelphia and enjoyed a productive run with the club. His best Angels season came in 1990, when he hit .268 with 24 home runs and 70 RBI, produced 4.5 WAR and earned both his eighth career All-Star selection and sixth Silver Slugger Award.

Parrish remained California's primary catcher through 1991, hitting another 19 home runs with 51 RBI that season. By 1992, however, his Angels tenure was nearing its conclusion.

At age 36, Parrish began 1992 with California, appearing in 24 games and batting .229 with 19 hits, two doubles, four home runs and 11 RBI. He appeared in 22 games at catcher, including 21 starts, before moving on to the Seattle Mariners.

Parrish played another 69 games with Seattle and finished the season with 12 home runs and 32 RBI in 93 games between the two clubs. The move brought an end to a four-season California chapter that included some impressive late-career production.
