Add a sharp first-year Pinnacle issue to a comprehensive Lance Parrish autograph collection with this 1992 Pinnacle #105 California Angels card, personally autographed by the eight-time Major League All-Star, three-time Gold Glove winner, six-time Silver Slugger winner and 1984 World Series champion.
The 1992 Pinnacle set marked the debut of the Pinnacle baseball brand, introduced by Score as a premium product with a distinctive black-bordered design and higher-end presentation. Parrish is correctly listed as card #105 in the inaugural checklist, positioned between Ed Whitson #104 and Scott Erickson #106.
That first-year status gives the card some extra interest within the Parrish run. Just as his 1991 Stadium Club and 1991 Ultra cards represent the inaugural baseball releases for those brands, 1992 Pinnacle #105 is Parrish's first Pinnacle card and provides another example of the rapidly expanding premium-card market of the early 1990s.
The card also captures Parrish at the end of his California Angels tenure. After joining California in 1989, he enjoyed an outstanding 1990 season in which he hit .268 with 24 home runs and 70 RBI and earned both American League All-Star and Silver Slugger honors. His 1991 season produced another 19 home runs and 51 RBI.
Parrish began 1992 with California, appearing in 24 games and batting .229 with four home runs and 11 RBI. He then moved to the Seattle Mariners, where he played another 69 games and added eight home runs and 21 RBI. Overall, Parrish finished the transitional 1992 campaign with 12 home runs and 32 RBI in 93 games.
For a comprehensive player collection, this makes the 1992 Pinnacle #105 a particularly nice transitional issue: it combines Parrish's final season with the Angels with the inaugural year of a major premium baseball-card brand.
Parrish ultimately played 19 Major League seasons, finishing with 1,782 hits, 324 home runs and 1,070 RBI. His career rsum includes eight All-Star selections, three Gold Gloves, six Silver Slugger Awards and the 1984 World Series championship with Detroit.

This is another Parrish card I'd give a little extra hobby interest over an ordinary 1992 base issue. The combination of Pinnacle's inaugural baseball release and Parrish's final Angels season gives it two legitimate collecting angles, making it an excellent addition for collectors of Lance Parrish autographs, California Angels memorabilia, 1992 Pinnacle baseball cards, first-year Pinnacle issues, or comprehensive signed player collections.
