Add a classic post-championship Topps issue of one of the premier catchers of the 1980s with this 1985 Topps #160 Lance Parrish card featuring him with the Detroit Tigers, personally autographed by the eight-time All-Star and key member of Detroit's 1984 World Series championship team.

The 1985 Topps #160 was issued immediately following one of the greatest seasons in Tigers history. Parrish had been a central figure on the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers, serving as the club's primary catcher and one of the most dangerous power hitters in its lineup.

During that championship season, Parrish appeared in 147 games and led Detroit with 33 home runs and 98 RBI. He earned American League All-Star, Gold Glove and Silver Slugger honors, combining middle-of-the-order power with elite defense behind the plate.

Parrish also delivered during Detroit's postseason run. In the decisive Game 5 of the 1984 World Series, he homered off future Hall of Fame closer Goose Gossage in the seventh inning, extending Detroit's lead before the Tigers ultimately defeated San Diego to capture the championship.

He carried that success into 1985, batting .273 with 150 hits, 27 doubles, 28 home runs and 98 RBI in 140 games. Parrish's 98 RBI led the Tigers, and he earned another American League All-Star selection and Gold Glove Award.

That season capped a remarkable defensive run in which Parrish won three consecutive Gold Gloves from 1983 through 1985. His offensive accomplishments were equally impressive, as he ultimately collected six Silver Slugger Awards during his career.

Parrish finished his 19-year Major League career as an eight-time All-Star, three-time Gold Glove winner and six-time Silver Slugger winner, totaling 1,782 hits, 324 home runs and 1,070 RBI.
