Michael Barrett Autographed 1999 Flair Showcase Row 1 #43 Montreal Expos Card SN/1500
Add a signed limited-edition card of All-Star catcher Michael Barrett with this 1999 Flair Showcase Row 1 #43 /1500 Montreal Expos issue.
This card comes from the acclaimed 1999 Flair Showcase set, one of Fleer's most innovative premium baseball releases of the 1990s. Each featured player was produced in three different "Rows"Row 3 (Power), Row 2 (Passion), and Row 1 (Showcase)with Row 1 being the toughest standard version to obtain. Michael Barrett's Row 1 Showcase card is serial numbered to just 1,500 copies, making it one of his scarcer mainstream cards from the era.
Selected by the Montreal Expos with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 1995 MLB Draft, Michael Barrett went on to enjoy an 11-year Major League career with the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays. Originally drafted as a shortstop, Barrett successfully transitioned to catcher in the minor leagues and developed into one of the National League's premier offensive backstops. He finished his career with 98 home runs, 424 RBIs, a .263 batting average, and earned the 2005 National League Silver Slugger Award.
This premium serial-numbered card captures Barrett during his early years with the Expos, when he ranked among the organization's top young players. The attractive Showcase design, limited production, and early-career status make it a standout collectible for player, Expos, and late-1990s card collectors.
