The 1994 Stadium Club Golden Rainbow #367 Chris Hammond features the left-handed pitcher with the Florida Marlins on the distinctive parallel version of his regular Stadium Club card. Personally autographed by Hammond, this Golden Rainbow issue combines Stadium Club's photography-driven presentation with a more specialized parallel treatment, making it an appealing step beyond the standard #367.

The Golden Rainbow parallel was created as a variation of the regular 1994 Stadium Club checklist. These cards retain the same outstanding photography as their base counterparts while adding the distinctive rainbow-foil treatment to the player's name, allowing collectors to differentiate the parallel from the standard version.

For a comprehensive player collector, the Golden Rainbow is an important companion to Hammond's regular 1994 Stadium Club #367. It also represents the growing importance of parallels during the 1990s, as manufacturers increasingly offered collectors multiple versions of the same card rather than a single base issue.

Topps had introduced Stadium Club in 1991 as a premium alternative to its traditional flagship product. The brand quickly became known for full-bleed photography, glossy card stock and minimal front graphics, an approach that placed the photography at the center of each card. That clean presentation also makes Stadium Club particularly well suited to autographs.

Hammond is shown with the Florida Marlins, who were playing just their second Major League season in 1994. He had joined the organization through the 1992 MLB Expansion Draft, making him one of the players selected to build the first roster in franchise history.

Hammond became a key member of that inaugural pitching staff. During Florida's first season in 1993, he made 32 starts and finished 15-12. His 15 victories established a career high and led the inaugural Florida Marlins in wins.

Originally selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the sixth round of the 1986 MLB Draft out of the University of Alabama, Hammond made his Major League debut with Cincinnati on July 16, 1990 before eventually becoming an original Marlin.

His career later featured a remarkable revival. After spending the 1999 through 2001 seasons outside the Major Leagues, Hammond returned with the Atlanta Braves in 2002 at age 36 and reinvented himself as a relief pitcher. He went 7-2 with a remarkable 0.95 ERA in 63 appearances, allowing only seven earned runs across 76 innings.

Hammond ultimately pitched parts of 14 Major League seasons for seven organizations. With its genuine autograph, early Marlins connection and distinctive Golden Rainbow treatment, this #367 offers additional hobby appeal over the standard Stadium Club issue and is an excellent variation for a deeper player collection.
