Bruce Fields Autographed 1989 CMC Calgary Cannons #19

Add an excellent late-1980s minor league issue of Bruce Fields with this 1989 CMC Calgary Cannons #19 card, personally autographed by the former Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners outfielder.

The card features Fields with the Calgary Cannons, the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners in the Pacific Coast League. Fields had joined the Seattle organization after beginning his Major League career with Detroit and split portions of the 1988 and 1989 seasons between the Mariners and Calgary. The 1989 Cannons finished 70-72 and featured a roster loaded with future and former Major Leaguers.

Fields put together an outstanding season for Calgary in 1989, appearing in 101 games and batting an impressive .351 with a .416 on-base percentage and .533 slugging percentage. He collected 143 hits, including 36 doubles, four triples and 10 home runs, while scoring 88 runs, driving in 48 and stealing 14 bases. His .949 OPS was among the strongest marks on the club.

That performance earned Fields another opportunity with Seattle during the 1989 season. He appeared in three Major League games for the Mariners and went 1-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Those games proved to be his final Major League appearances.
