Across parts of three seasons with Baltimore from 2001 through 2003, he accumulated 82 home runs and 273 RBI before moving on to Montreal.
Known for his extraordinarily wide-open batting stance, Batista finished his 11-year Major League career with 1,146 hits, 221 home runs and 718 RBI.
