Combining Bowmans familiar baseball design with the chromium technology that helped make Bowman Chrome a popular collecting brand, this Tony Batista autographed 2003 Bowman Chrome #127 Baltimore Orioles card features one of Baltimores primary power hitters of the early 2000s. The Chrome edition gives Batistas #127 card a glossy, reflective presentation distinct from the traditional paper Bowman release.

Batista entered 2003 following an American League All-Star season with Baltimore. In 2002, he appeared in 161 games, led the Orioles with 31 home runs and drove in 87 runs, earning the second All-Star selection of his career.

He remained a dependable run producer during the 2003 season, again appearing in 161 games while hitting 26 home runs and driving in 99 runs. The 99 RBI represented his highest total during his Baltimore tenure. Across his first three seasons with the Orioles from 2001 through 2003, Batista accumulated 82 home runs and 273 RBI.

Batista was unmistakable at the plate thanks to his extraordinarily wide-open batting stance, but his power production was equally memorable. He recorded three seasons with at least 30 home runs, highlighted by career highs of 41 home runs and 114 RBI with Toronto in 2000. The two-time American League All-Star completed his 11-year Major League career with 1,146 hits, 221 home runs and 718 RBI.

The chromium finish and Bowman branding give the 2003 Bowman Chrome #127 a distinctive place among Batistas Orioles-era cards, making it an appealing addition for Baltimore collectors, Tony Batista fans, Bowman Chrome collectors or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
