Tony Batista Autographed 2001 Fleer E-X #56 Toronto Blue Jays Card

Add a visually distinctive early-2000s issue of two-time All-Star Tony Batista with this Tony Batista autographed 2001 Fleer E-X #56 Toronto Blue Jays card. The E-X brand was known for its unconventional, technology-driven card designs, giving #56 a noticeably different presentation from more traditional baseball releases of the period.

The card was issued following Batistas tremendous 2000 season with Toronto. He established career highs with 41 home runs and 114 RBI, scored 96 runs and earned his first American League All-Star selection. His 41 home runs placed him among the leagues leading power hitters and capped an impressive two-year stretch in which he combined for 72 homers and 214 RBI.

Batista had emerged as a major offensive threat almost immediately after joining the Blue Jays from the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 1999 season. In only 98 games with Toronto, he hit 26 home runs with 79 RBI, finishing the full season with 31 homers and 100 RBI.

One of the most recognizable hitters of his era, Batista was famous for his extraordinarily wide-open batting stance. He later earned a second All-Star selection with the Baltimore Orioles in 2002 and continued to provide significant home run production after his Toronto tenure.

Batista finished his 11-year Major League career with 1,146 hits, 221 home runs and 718 RBI. Combining the distinctive E-X presentation with Batistas peak power-hitting period, the 2001 Fleer E-X #56 is an excellent addition for Toronto Blue Jays collectors, Tony Batista fans, Fleer E-X collectors or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
