Tommy Greene Autographed 1995 Donruss #518 Philadelphia Phillies Card

Featuring Tommy Greene with the Philadelphia Phillies, this Tommy Greene autographed 1995 Donruss #518 Philadelphia Phillies card represents the hard-throwing right-hander who became an important part of Philadelphia's starting rotation during the early 1990s and helped the club capture the 1993 National League pennant.

Greene began his Major League career with the Atlanta Braves in 1989 before being traded to Philadelphia during the 1990 season. He quickly demonstrated the ability that had made him a highly regarded pitching prospect.

On May 23, 1991, Greene threw one of the signature games of his career, tossing a no-hitter against the Montreal Expos at Olympic Stadium. He walked seven but did not allow a hit while striking out 10 in Philadelphia's 2-0 victory. Greene finished the 1991 season 13-7 with a 3.38 ERA and 141 strikeouts.

Greene played a major role for the memorable 1993 Phillies, going 16-4 with a 3.42 ERA and 149 strikeouts over 200 innings. His .800 winning percentage led the National League, and he helped Philadelphia win 97 games, capture the NL East and advance to the World Series.

Arm and shoulder problems limited Greene after his outstanding 1993 season, and he appeared in only 17 games in 1994 and three in 1995. He finished his Major League career with 38 victories and 525 strikeouts. The 1995 Donruss #518 is an appealing addition for Phillies collectors, Tommy Greene fans, no-hitter collections, 1993 National League championship collections, 1990s Donruss collectors or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
