Featuring Terry Puhl with the Houston Astros, this Terry Puhl autographed 1985 Fleer #356 Houston Astros card highlights the longtime outfielder who became one of the most recognizable players from Houston's early postseason era. The Canadian-born Puhl spent nearly his entire Major League career in an Astros uniform.

Puhl made his Major League debut with Houston in 1977 and quickly established himself in the Astros outfield. In 1978, his first full season, he batted .289 with 169 hits, 32 doubles, 10 triples and 32 stolen bases while earning the only All-Star selection of his career.

He played an important role as Houston reached the postseason for the first time in 1980. Puhl batted .282 with 151 hits and 27 stolen bases during the regular season before delivering an exceptional performance against Philadelphia in the NL Championship Series. He batted .526 with 10 hits in the five-game NLCS, repeatedly creating problems for Phillies pitching during the closely contested series.

Puhl remained a fixture with Houston throughout the 1980s and was still with the club when the Astros captured another National League West championship in 1986. His combination of speed, defense and consistent contact helped him remain a valuable part of the Houston roster for more than a decade.

Puhl spent 14 of his 15 Major League seasons with the Astros and finished his career with 1,361 hits and 217 stolen bases. The 1985 Fleer #356 is an appealing addition for Astros collectors, Terry Puhl fans, Canadian baseball collections, 1985 Fleer set collectors, early Astros postseason collections or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
