The 1982 Donruss baseball set marked the inaugural baseball release from Donruss, making it one of the hobby's most historically significant modern sets. Featuring a 660-card checklist with distinctive white-bordered designs, colorful team logos, and clean photography, the set introduced a major new competitor to Topps and Fleer. Card #365 features Steve Bedrosian during his time with the Atlanta Braves.

Steve Bedrosian pitched 14 Major League seasons with the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco Giants, Minnesota Twins, and California Angels. Nicknamed "Bedrock," the hard-throwing right-hander became one of baseball's premier closers during the 1980s. He was selected to the National League All-Star team in 1987, led the league with 40 saves that season, and won the 1987 National League Cy Young Award while helping the Philadelphia Phillies. Bedrosian also earned a World Series championship with the 1991 Minnesota Twins.

Issued during Bedrosian's early Major League career, this inaugural Donruss card captures the future Cy Young Award winner before he emerged as one of baseball's elite relief pitchers.
