Featuring Scott Cooper with the Kansas City Royals, this Scott Cooper autographed 1997 Fleer Ultra #392 Kansas City Royals card showcases the two-time American League All-Star during his lone season with Kansas City.

Cooper was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the third round of the 1986 MLB Draft and made his Major League debut in 1990. After seeing limited action during his first two seasons, he became Boston's regular third baseman and developed into a productive hitter in the early 1990s.

His best years came in 1993 and 1994, when Cooper earned consecutive American League All-Star selections. In 1993, he batted .279 with 14 doubles, nine home runs and 63 RBI. He followed by hitting .282 during the strike-shortened 1994 season and was again selected to represent Boston at the All-Star Game.

Following the 1994 season, Cooper was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals and spent 1996 playing in Japan with the Seibu Lions. He returned to the Major Leagues with the Kansas City Royals in 1997, appearing in 75 games while seeing time primarily at third base and first base. It proved to be his final Major League season.

Cooper played parts of seven Major League seasons with the Red Sox, Cardinals and Royals, highlighted by his back-to-back All-Star selections with Boston. The 1997 Fleer Ultra #392 is an appealing final-season issue for Kansas City Royals collectors, Scott Cooper fans, Fleer Ultra set collectors or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
