White appeared in 40 games for the 1994 Expos, batting .273 as Montreal compiled a Major League-best 74-40 record before the players' strike ended the season. He took on a much larger role in 1995, appearing in 130 games and collecting 119 hits, 24 doubles, 13 home runs and 49 RBI.
His best season with Montreal came in 1997, when White batted .270 with career highs of 28 home runs and 82 RBI. He spent eight seasons with the Expos before continuing his career with the Cubs, Yankees, Padres, Royals, Tigers and Twins. White earned his lone All-Star selection as a member of the Detroit Tigers in 2003.
Over a 15-season Major League career, White collected 1,519 hits, 284 doubles, 198 home runs and 768 RBI while batting .284.
