Ricky Bottalico Autographed 1995 Donruss #125 Philadelphia Phillies Card
Featuring Ricky Bottalico with the Philadelphia Phillies, this Ricky Bottalico autographed 1995 Donruss #125 Philadelphia Phillies card represents the hard-throwing right-handed reliever near the beginning of his Major League career. Bottalico developed from an undrafted free agent into an All-Star closer and spent the majority of his 12-season career with Philadelphia.
The Phillies signed Bottalico as an amateur free agent in 1991, and he made his Major League debut in July 1994. He quickly established himself in the Philadelphia bullpen, appearing in 34 games as a rookie and positioning himself for a larger role the following season.
In 1995, Bottalico appeared in 48 games and recorded 12 saves as he continued his progression toward becoming the Phillies' primary closer. His breakthrough came in 1996, when he saved 34 games and was selected to the National League All-Star team.
Bottalico followed with another 34 saves in 1997, giving him 68 saves over the 1996 and 1997 seasons. He ultimately recorded 116 saves during his Major League career while pitching for the Phillies, Cardinals, Royals, Diamondbacks, Mets and Brewers.
The 1995 Donruss #125 is an early-career Major League card of Bottalico and an appealing addition for Phillies collectors, Ricky Bottalico fans, relief pitcher collections, 1990s Donruss collectors or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
