Mondesi established himself as one of baseball's exciting young outfielders in 1994, batting .306 with 16 home runs, 56 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 112 games. His performance earned him the National League Rookie of the Year Award, making him the third consecutive Dodger to win the honor following Eric Karros and Mike Piazza.

He followed with another productive season in 1995, hitting 26 home runs with 88 RBI and 14 stolen bases while helping Los Angeles capture the National League West title. Mondesi also earned the first of his two career Gold Glove Awards for his play in right field.

Mondesi's combination of power, speed and a powerful throwing arm made him a dynamic all-around player. In 1997, he batted .310 with 30 home runs and 32 stolen bases, becoming the first Dodgers player to produce a 30-home run, 30-stolen base season. He repeated the accomplishment in 1999 with 33 home runs and 36 stolen bases.

A National League All-Star in 1995, Mondesi finished his 13-season Major League career with 271 home runs, 860 RBI and 229 stolen bases. Combining a Gold Rush parallel with one of the Dodgers' standout players of the 1990s, the 1995 Score Gold Rush #233 is an appealing addition for Dodgers collectors, Raul Mondesi fans, parallel collectors, Rookie of the Year collections or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
