Add a signed card of All-Star pitcher Mike Witt with this 1987 Topps #760 California Angels issue.
This card comes from the iconic 1987 Topps set, one of the most recognizable baseball card releases of the 1980s. Featuring the famous woodgrain border design, the set remains a hobby favorite and one of Topps' most collected flagship issues.
Mike Witt enjoyed a successful 12-year Major League career, pitching for the California Angels, New York Yankees, and St. Louis Cardinals. One of the American League's top right-handed pitchers during the 1980s, Witt was a 1986 American League All-Star who finished his career with 117 victories, 1,005 strikeouts, and a 3.83 ERA.
Witt enjoyed the finest stretch of his career with the California Angels, helping the club capture the 1982 and 1986 American League West Division championships. His memorable 1986 season included an 18-10 record, an All-Star selection, and a key role in leading the Angels to within one victory of their first American League pennant.
On September 30, 1984, Witt etched his name into baseball history by throwing a perfect game against the Texas Rangers, retiring all 27 batters he faced. It remains the only perfect game in California/Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels franchise history and stands as one of the greatest pitching performances in Major League Baseball.
This card captures Witt during the prime of his career as the ace of the Angels' pitching staff.
