Featuring Mike Warren with the Oakland Athletics, this Mike Warren autographed 1984 Topps #338 Oakland Athletics Rookie Card represents the right-handed pitcher shortly after one of the most memorable performances in Athletics history. Warren reached the Major Leagues in 1983 and made an immediate impression during his rookie season.

Warren was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 12th round of the 1979 MLB Draft before eventually joining the Oakland organization. He made his Major League debut with the Athletics in June 1983 and worked primarily as a starting pitcher during his first season.

On September 29, 1983, Warren threw a no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox at the Oakland Coliseum, leading the Athletics to a 3-0 victory. He struck out five and walked three while completing the historic performance in just his 14th Major League start.

Warren finished his rookie season with a 5-3 record and 3.26 ERA, making 14 starts among his 16 appearances. His no-hitter made him the first Athletics pitcher to accomplish the feat since Vida Blue in 1970 and provided the defining moment of his Major League career.

Warren pitched parts of five Major League seasons with Oakland, appearing in 83 games from 1983 through 1987. The 1984 Topps #338 Rookie Card is an appealing addition for Athletics collectors, Mike Warren fans, no-hitter collections, rookie-card collectors, 1980s Topps collectors or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
