Mike Pagliarulo Autographed 1985 Fleer #139 New York Yankees Rookie Card

An early card of one of the New York Yankees primary power hitters of the mid-1980s, this Mike Pagliarulo autographed 1985 Fleer #139 New York Yankees Rookie Card features the left-handed-hitting third baseman at the beginning of his Major League career. Pagliarulo had made his MLB debut with New York the previous season and quickly developed into the Yankees regular third baseman.

Pagliarulo reached the majors in 1984, appearing in 67 games and hitting seven home runs after being promoted during the summer. In 1985, his first full Major League season, he became a fixture at third base and increased his power production to 19 home runs and 62 RBI as the Yankees won 97 games.

Known to Yankees fans as Pags, Pagliarulo developed into a significant source of left-handed power. He hit at least 19 home runs in four consecutive seasons from 1985 through 1988, with his biggest year coming in 1987, when he established career highs with 32 home runs and 87 RBI.

Pagliarulo later became part of a championship club with the Minnesota Twins in 1991. He served as Minnesotas primary third baseman during its World Series run and delivered a memorable two-run home run in Game 4 of the World Series against the Atlanta Braves. The Twins ultimately captured the championship in seven games.

Pagliarulo played 11 Major League seasons with the Yankees, San Diego Padres, Twins, Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers before also playing professionally in Japan.
