Featuring Mickey Morandini with the Philadelphia Phillies, this Mickey Morandini autographed 1997 Upper Deck #154 Philadelphia Phillies card showcases the longtime second baseman during his first tenure with the organization.

The Phillies selected Morandini in the fifth round of the 1988 MLB Draft out of Indiana University, and he made his Major League debut with Philadelphia in 1990. He quickly developed into the club's regular second baseman and became known for his steady defense and ability to contribute throughout the lineup.

On September 20, 1992, Morandini turned an unassisted triple play against the Pittsburgh Pirates, becoming the first second baseman in National League history to accomplish the feat. He followed with an important role on the memorable 1993 Phillies, appearing in 151 regular-season games as Philadelphia won 97 games and captured the National League pennant.

Morandini enjoyed one of his finest individual seasons in 1995, batting .283 with 158 hits, 37 doubles and 26 stolen bases. In 1996, he batted .250 with 149 hits and established a career high with 40 doubles. He remained Philadelphia's regular second baseman through the 1997 season before joining the Chicago Cubs.

Over 11 Major League seasons, Morandini collected 1,222 hits, 209 doubles and 123 stolen bases, spending the majority of his career in a Phillies uniform. The 1997 Upper Deck #154 is an appealing addition for Philadelphia Phillies collectors, Mickey Morandini fans, 1993 National League championship collections or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
