Add a signed card of future Silver Slugger catcher Michael Barrett with this 2003 Fleer Platinum #67 Montreal Expos issue.
This card comes from the 2003 Fleer Platinum set, a 250-card release that departed from previous Platinum designs with an all-new look while retaining the premium card stock and sharp photography collectors expected from the brand. Issued in February 2003, the set features a colorful, modern design reminiscent of Fleer's classic mid-1980s boxed sets and includes numerous collectible parallels such as Platinum Portraits, Big Signs, and Finish variations.
Selected by the Montreal Expos with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 1995 MLB Draft, Michael Barrett enjoyed an 11-year Major League career with the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays. Originally drafted as a shortstop, Barrett successfully transitioned to catcher in the minor leagues and developed into one of the National League's premier offensive backstops. He finished his career with 98 home runs, 424 RBIs, a .263 batting average, and earned the 2005 National League Silver Slugger Award.
Issued during Barrett's final season in the Montreal Expos organization, this card captures him just before his trade to the Chicago Cubs, where he would develop into one of the National League's top offensive catchers. The attractive original Platinum design and premium Fleer production make it one of his standout Expos-era cards.
