Add a signed premium card of future Silver Slugger catcher Michael Barrett with this 2000 SPx #36 Montreal Expos issue.

This card comes from the 2000 SPx set, one of Upper Deck's premier high-end baseball releases. The 196-card set was issued in two series and is known for its premium foil design, sharp photography, and innovative Rookie/Prospect program. While the Rookie/Prospect cards were short printed and serial numbered, Michael Barrett's #36 is part of the premium veteran checklist, making it one of his earliest mainstream SPx base cards.

Selected by the Montreal Expos with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 1995 MLB Draft, Michael Barrett went on to enjoy an 11-year Major League career with the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays. Originally drafted as a shortstop, Barrett successfully transitioned to catcher in the minor leagues and developed into one of the National League's premier offensive backstops. He finished his career with 98 home runs, 424 RBIs, a .263 batting average, and earned the 2005 National League Silver Slugger Award.

Issued during Barrett's first full Major League season, this premium SPx card captures one of the Expos' brightest young players as he established himself in the big leagues. The sleek foil finish and upscale Upper Deck presentation make it one of his most attractive mainstream cards from the 2000 season.
