Add a signed premium parallel card of future Silver Slugger catcher Michael Barrett with this 2000 Bowman Retro/Future #126 Montreal Expos issue.

This card comes from the 2000 Bowman Retro/Future parallel set, a creative companion to the flagship Bowman release. Every card in the 440-card checklist received a Retro/Future version inspired by the classic 1955 Bowman design. Veteran cards were framed with a vintage television, while rookie and prospect cardslike Michael Barrett'sfeatured a modern HDTV motif, creating one of the most distinctive Bowman parallels of the era.

Selected by the Montreal Expos with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 1995 MLB Draft, Michael Barrett went on to enjoy an 11-year Major League career with the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays. Originally drafted as a shortstop, Barrett successfully transitioned to catcher in the minor leagues and developed into one of the National League's premier offensive backstops. He finished his career with 98 home runs, 424 RBIs, a .263 batting average, and earned the 2005 National League Silver Slugger Award.

Issued as Barrett was establishing himself as one of Montreal's top young players, this Retro/Future parallel combines the hobby's premier prospect brand with a nostalgic tribute to one of Topps' most iconic vintage designs. It remains one of his more distinctive Bowman playing-day cards.
