Add a signed rookie card of All-Star catcher Michael Barrett with this 1995 Best #124 Montreal Expos issue.
This card comes from the 1995 Best minor league set, a popular release that showcased many of baseball's brightest young prospects before they reached the Major Leagues. The set has become a favorite among prospect and rookie card collectors for featuring future stars at the very beginning of their professional careers. Michael Barrett's 1995 Best #124 is recognized as one of his earliest professional cards.
Selected by the Montreal Expos with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 1995 MLB Draft, Michael Barrett went on to enjoy an 11-year Major League career with the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays. A strong defensive catcher with impressive power, Barrett was a 2005 National League Silver Slugger Award winner and finished his career with 98 home runs, 424 RBIs, and a .263 batting average.
This card captures Barrett at the very beginning of his professional career shortly after signing with the Expos. Originally drafted as a shortstop, he later transitioned to catcher and developed into one of the National League's better offensive backstops. His finest season came in 2005 with the Chicago Cubs, when he batted .307 with 16 home runs, 75 RBIs, and earned the Silver Slugger Award.
As one of Barrett's earliest professional cards, this issue is an outstanding collectible for Expos fans and rookie card enthusiasts.
