The 1984 Topps Tiffany #252 Larry Christenson features the longtime right-handed pitcher with the Philadelphia Phillies on a premium version of his regular 1984 Topps card. Personally autographed by Christenson, this considerably scarcer Tiffany edition adds another level of collectibility to one of the final cards issued during his Major League career.

Introduced in 1984, Topps Tiffany sets were premium factory-set versions of the standard Topps release. The cards feature a high-gloss front surface and brighter, cleaner card stock, giving them a noticeably more upscale appearance than their regular Topps counterparts. Produced in substantially smaller quantities than standard Topps cards, the inaugural 1984 Tiffany release has become especially desirable among collectors of 1980s parallels and premium issues.

The card retains the memorable 1984 Topps dual-image design, combining a large photograph with a smaller portrait and bold vertical team graphics. The Tiffany treatment gives Christenson's #252 a sharper presentation while maintaining the familiar design of the flagship issue.

Philadelphia selected Christenson third overall in the 1972 MLB Draft out of Marysville High School in Washington. He quickly reached the Major Leagues, debuting in 1973 at just 19 years old, and would never appear in the Majors for another organization.

Christenson became an important member of the Phillies rotation during the club's emergence as a perennial contender. He helped Philadelphia capture three consecutive National League East championships from 1976 through 1978, highlighted by his outstanding 1977 campaign.

In 1977, Christenson finished 19-6 for a Phillies team that won 101 games. His 19 victories established a career high and represented the finest individual season of his Major League career.

Christenson was also a member of the historic 1980 Philadelphia Phillies, who defeated the Kansas City Royals to capture the first World Series championship in franchise history. He remained with the organization through another pennant-winning season in 1983, when Philadelphia returned to the World Series after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS.

An unusually capable hitter for a pitcher, Christenson finished his career with 11 Major League home runs, including three during his career-best 1977 season.

Christenson ultimately recorded 83 victories during an 11-year Major League career spent entirely with Philadelphia. Combining his Phillies legacy with the scarcity and premium production of the inaugural 1984 Topps Tiffany set, this autographed #252 is a particularly attractive option for collectors seeking more difficult Christenson variations beyond his standard Topps cards.
