Juan Samuel Autographed 1995 Donruss #506 Detroit Tigers Card

The 1995 Donruss set contains 550 cards divided into two series, with Series One consisting of cards #1-330 and Series Two covering #331-550. Samuel's high-numbered #506 is therefore a Series Two issue. At 550 cards, it was also the smallest Donruss flagship baseball set produced up to that point.

Donruss gave its 1995 release a noticeably more premium appearance than many of its earlier flagship sets. The cards feature borderless full-color action photography, along with a second, smaller player photograph placed inside a home plate-shaped frame in the lower-left corner. Samuel's name appears in silver foil, another element that reflects Donruss' move toward a more upscale presentation during the mid-1990s.
