Add a premium early-1990s issue to your collection with this 1992 Stadium Club #11 Juan Samuel card featuring Samuel with the Los Angeles Dodgers, personally autographed by the three-time MLB All-Star.
The 1992 Stadium Club release was the second year of Topps' premium Stadium Club brand and expanded dramatically from the inaugural 1991 set. The massive 900-card set was issued in three 300-card series, making it the largest Topps baseball card set produced to that point. Samuel appears as card #11, placing him very early in Series One (#1-300).
Stadium Club continued the premium formula that had made its 1991 debut stand out, featuring high-gloss card stock and large, borderless full-color photography that placed the emphasis directly on the player image. The backs also included a miniature image of an earlier Topps card of the featured player, another distinctive element of early Stadium Club releases.
Samuel is correctly identified as a Los Angeles Dodger on card #11, appearing between Joe Carter #10 and Jeff Montgomery #12 in the checklist. The card comes from the final season of Samuel's Dodgers tenure, following his 1991 All-Star campaign, when he earned the third and final All-Star selection of his career.
There is also a variation element for collectors. Samuel #11 is known with A and B copyright variations on the back, providing two production versions for collectors building especially detailed Stadium Club or Juan Samuel runs.
