A four-time National League All-Star, he finished his career with 307 home runs, 1,128 RBIs, and a .276 batting average.

By the 1977 season, Luzinski had firmly established himself as the centerpiece of the Phillies' powerful lineup. He followed with one of the greatest stretches of his career, leading the National League in RBIs in 1975 and finishing among the league leaders in home runs and slugging percentage for several seasons. He helped lead Philadelphia to three consecutive National League East titles (19761978) before earning a 1980 World Series championship with the Phillies. After joining the Chicago White Sox, he continued to provide tremendous power as the club captured the 1983 American League West Division title.
