Dickie Noles Autographed 1981 Topps #406 Philadelphia Phillies Card

Featuring Dickie Noles with the Philadelphia Phillies, this Dickie Noles autographed 1981 Topps #406 Philadelphia Phillies card showcases the hard-throwing right-handed pitcher immediately following Philadelphia's historic 1980 World Series championship season.

The Phillies selected Noles in the fourth round of the 1975 MLB Draft, and he made his Major League debut with Philadelphia in 1979. He quickly developed a reputation as an aggressive competitor who was unafraid to challenge opposing hitters, contributing both as a starter and relief pitcher.

Noles appeared in 48 games during the 1980 regular season, helping Philadelphia capture the National League East championship. He also contributed during the Phillies' postseason run, which culminated in the franchise's first World Series title.

One of the most memorable moments of Noles' career occurred during Game 4 of the 1980 World Series against the Kansas City Royals. Entering in relief, Noles threw a high-and-inside pitch that knocked Royals star George Brett to the ground. The incident became a frequently discussed moment of the series and reflected the intensity of the competition between the two clubs.

Philadelphia went on to defeat Kansas City in six games, earning Noles a World Series championship ring. He remained with the Phillies through the 1981 season before continuing his career with the Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles.

Noles played parts of 11 Major League seasons, appearing in more than 300 games. The 1981 Topps #406 is an appealing addition for Philadelphia Phillies collectors, Dickie Noles fans, 1980 World Series championship collections, vintage Topps enthusiasts or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
