Featuring Denis Menke with the Cincinnati Reds, this Denis Menke autographed 1973 Topps #52 Cincinnati Reds card showcases the veteran infielder during his second stint with Cincinnati. A versatile defender capable of playing throughout the infield, Menke was a two-time National League All-Star and a member of the Reds' 1972 National League championship club.

Menke began his Major League career with the Milwaukee Braves in 1962 and remained with the franchise through its move to Atlanta. He enjoyed one of his best seasons in 1964, hitting 20 home runs with 78 RBI while serving as the Braves' regular shortstop.

After joining the Houston Astros, Menke earned consecutive National League All-Star selections in 1969 and 1970. In 1970, he batted .304 with 26 doubles, 13 home runs and a career-high 92 RBI while providing Houston with production at several infield positions.

Menke was traded to Cincinnati before the 1972 season as part of the blockbuster deal that sent Joe Morgan, Cesar Geronimo, Jack Billingham, Ed Armbrister and Menke to the Reds. He became Cincinnati's regular third baseman as the club captured the National League West and defeated Pittsburgh in the NLCS to advance to the World Series against Oakland.

Menke played 13 Major League seasons with the Braves, Astros and Reds, finishing with 1,270 hits, 101 home runs and 606 RBI. The 1973 Topps #52 is an appealing addition for Cincinnati Reds collectors, Denis Menke fans, 1972 National League championship collections, vintage Topps collectors or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
