Craig Reynolds, Lamar Johnson, Johnnie LeMaster & Jerry Manuel Autographed 1976 Topps #596
Own a unique quadruple-autographed 1976 Topps #596 Rookie Infielders baseball card signed by Craig Reynolds, Lamar Johnson, Johnnie LeMaster, and Jerry Manuel. Featuring four young players who would each reach the Major Leagues, this classic 1970s Topps rookie card is especially desirable because all four players pictured have signed the same card.
The 1976 Topps baseball set is a 660-card flagship release remembered for its colorful design, prominent team-name banners, and classic photography. Its multiplayer rookie cards grouped prospects by position, creating cards that often featured players from several different organizations. Card #596, Rookie Infielders, features Craig Reynolds, Lamar Johnson, Johnnie LeMaster, and Jerry Manuel.
Craig Reynolds developed into a dependable Major League shortstop and enjoyed a 15-year career, spending the majority of his playing days with the Houston Astros. A two-time National League All-Star, Reynolds was a member of Houston's 1980 NL West championship club and remained a fixture in the Astros infield throughout much of the 1980s.
Lamar Johnson spent nine Major League seasons primarily with the Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers. A first baseman and designated hitter, Johnson enjoyed his finest season in 1979, batting .309 with 12 home runs and 74 RBIs for Chicago.
Johnnie LeMaster became best known for his long tenure with the San Francisco Giants. The shortstop spent 12 seasons in the Major Leagues and appeared in more than 1,000 games, with the bulk of his career coming in San Francisco.
Jerry Manuel reached the Major Leagues as an infielder before beginning a lengthy career as a coach and manager. He later managed the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets, winning the American League Manager of the Year Award in 2000 after guiding Chicago to the AL Central championship.
The presence of all four signatures transforms this already appealing vintage rookie card into an especially interesting piece. Multi-player rookie cards are frequently found signed by only one or two of the players pictured, making a fully signed example featuring autographs from all four players an excellent addition to an advanced autograph collection.
Personally signed by Craig Reynolds, Lamar Johnson, Johnnie LeMaster, and Jerry Manuel, this 1976 Topps #596 Rookie Infielders card combines four autographs, four different Major League careers, and a classic 1970s Topps rookie-card design on a single collectible.
