Chris Hammond Autographed 1990 Upper Deck #52 Cincinnati Reds Card

Cincinnati occupied first place throughout the 1990 season, defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League Championship Series and then swept the heavily favored Oakland Athletics in four games to capture the World Series championship.

The 1990 Upper Deck #52 is especially appealing as one of Hammond's earliest mainstream Major League cards. Upper Deck had debuted only one year earlier and quickly established itself as a premium baseball card brand through its glossy stock, sharp photography and distinctive hologram technology.

The comeback extended Hammond's career through 2006. He ultimately pitched for the Reds, Marlins, Red Sox, Braves, Yankees, Athletics and Padres, finding success as both a starter and reliever.
