Alex Trevino Autographed 1985 Fleer #341 Atlanta Braves Card
Featuring Alex Trevino with the Atlanta Braves, this Alex Trevino autographed 1985 Fleer #341 Atlanta Braves card represents the veteran catcher's brief tenure in Atlanta during a Major League career that eventually spanned 13 seasons.
Trevino began his Major League career with the New York Mets in 1978 and spent his first four seasons in New York before joining the Cincinnati Reds. Known primarily for his work behind the plate, Trevino provided versatility during his career and also saw Major League action at third base and in the outfield.
Atlanta acquired Trevino during the 1984 season, and he appeared in 79 games for the Braves that year while sharing catching duties. His stay in Atlanta was relatively brief, making cards picturing Trevino in a Braves uniform a distinct portion of his lengthy Major League card run.
Trevino later played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros and San Francisco Giants, including a return to the Mets near the end of his career. His longevity as a catcher and ability to fill several roles helped him remain in the Major Leagues through 1990.
The 1985 Fleer #341 captures Trevino during his short Atlanta chapter and is an appealing addition for Braves collectors, Alex Trevino fans, catcher collections, 1985 Fleer set collectors or collectors assembling comprehensive autographed player runs.
